Overview
The San Francisco architectural firm of Wurster, Bernardi and Emmons designed this three-bedroom, two-bath residence for Stirling "Sandy" Huntley, a Stanford professor in the Speech and Drama Department, his wife, Roberta Baily, an interior designer, and their two daughters, Anne and Elizabeth. At 2,379 square feet, it was a relatively modest house in scale and budget, which the Huntleys occupied until 1971. The noted UC Berkeley landscape architect, Geraldine Knight Scott, designed the garden.
