The "New Occidental Hotel" operated at 605 Montogmery Street (at Clay Street) in 1917. Robert Behlow managed the hotel at this time. An advertisement featured rooms 50 cents per day (and up) without bath, $1.00 per day with. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1917, p. 568.)
