Overview

The Hotel Saint James #1 operated on North 1st Street in Downtown San Jose, CA, across from Saint James Square. It was later replaced by San Jose's Main Post Office.

Building History

Albert Bettens managed the Hotel Saint James in 1905 which still operated on 1st street opposite St. James Park.. (See San Jose, California, City Directory, 1905, p. 250.)

Demolition

The Saint James Hotel #1 was demolished and replaced by San Jose's Main Post Office.
