This Gothic Revival residence, owned by a "Mrs. Harding," burned on 12/10/1856. A note in the Placer Herald said, "The Gothic cottage belonging to Mrs. Harding, Sacramento, about which there was a dispute a day or two since, was set fire to by some unknown people on Wednesday monring and consumed."
