Building History
As per the SCV History.com website, the Southern Pacific Railroad Company moved its initial depot in Newhall, CA, two miles south in 01/1878, due to a lack of fresh water in the previous location. A drought in 1877 necessitated the move, by dropping well levels in that year. This depot stood at this location between about 1878 and 1963.
