Building History

San Jose architect Ralph Wyckoff (1883-1956) designed Kocher's Jewelry Store in 1930. Designs for the building were dated 02/07/1930. (These drawings have been maintained by Historic San Jose.) In 1931, E.H. Kocher and F.W. Bocks operated Kocher's Jewelry Store at 169 South 1st Street. (See R.L. Polk and Company's San Jose, California, City Directory, 1931, p. 294.)
