Overview
The Los Angeles architect Wallace Neff designed this Beverly Hills mansion and horse complex for the Western silent picture star Fred Thomson and his wife, the screenwriter Frances Marion, completed in 1925. The Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen purchased the complex in 1997 for $20 million.
Building Notes
The Marion-Thimson complex was up for sale with an asking price of $3.5 million in 1976. (See Real Estate, Los Angeles Times, 04/14/1976, pt. 4, p. 1.)
