Building History

The well-traveled architect William D. Van Siclen (1865-1951) designed this model home for the Brownsville Herald newspaper in 1926, shortly after arriving in the city from Tulsa, OK. It was a one-story, stucco faced Spanish Colonial Revival bungalow with a small projecting front porch.

Alteration

This house had at least two additions to the rear of its property.
