Building History
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Oregon City purchased an existing building to be used as the Saint Francis de Sales Church #1. Mass was first celebrated at this location in 10/1862. The building was utilized for church services between about 1862 and 1871, when a purpose-built church was constructed on the northwest corner of 1st and Church Streets in Baker City.
