Andrew Jackson Pope (1820-1878), partner in the successful Pope and Talbot Lumber Company and Victoria and Puget Sound Packets shipping company, resided at 614 Folsom in 1871. One neighbor was the banker John Parrott (1810-1884) who owned the mansion at 620 Folsom in the same year.
