The Oriental House operated at the corner of Bush Street and Battery Street in 1858.

Building History

In 1858, the Oriental Hotel operated on the corner of Bush and Battery Streets. Edwin Bryant managed the hotel in 1858. (See San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1858, p. 123.) At this time, the Coffey and Risdon Boiler Works operated across Market Street.
