Building History
The Seattle architectural tandem of Josenhans and Allan designed this dwelling for J. Milton Phillips in 1900. The Seattle Daily Times wrote in its issue of 06/23/1900: "Architects Josenhans & allen have filed plans for a handsome residence for J. Milton Phillips, which is to be a two-story frame, 53x30 in dimensions. It will be erected at 1715 Eighteenth Avenue and will cost $3400."
