Building History

This Mission Style residence was designed in ealry 1909, and was likely completed in late 1909 or early 1910. The Los Angeles Evening Express published a note on its design: “Barkelew & Gould have the contract to build a ten-room mission style residence for W.H. Ketchum on San Vicente boulevard. The plans were prepared by Architect B. Cooper Corbett.” (See “Ten-room Residence,” Los Angeles Evening Express, 05/29/1909, vol. 39, no. 55, p. 9.)
