Overview

Redondo Beach officials erected an interesting city hall to accommodate its earliest operations, a building reflective of various architectural styles including the Mission Revival and Richardsonian Romanesque.

Building Notes

The Redondo Beach Public Library occupied the western portion of City Hall #1 before a separate library building was erected in 1930. The library operated in City Hall #1 between 1909 and 1930, and was forced to vacate due to a lack of space.
