Building History

This congregation began in 1908 as an outreach facility of the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church at 9th Avenue and Stewart Street in Downtown Seattle. A significant number of Swedish immigrants had moved to the Green Lake area by this time. In 1909, an intern pastor, O.L. Karlstrom, led the congregation. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1909, p. 457.)
