Building Notes

A note in the San Bernardino Sun suggested that the owner of the dwelling at 357 South Lorraine Boulevard in Los Angeles also owned the "Little Bear Lodge" at Lake Arrowhead in 1938. The advertisement in the Sun read: "Wanted--Experienced young woman for chambermaid and assist in dining room service over each week-end three days by owner North Shore Estate, Lake Arrowhead. References required. Answer 'Little Bear Lodge,' 357 South Lorraine Blvd., Los Angeles." (See "Help Wanted--Female," San Bernardino Sun, 05/24/1938, p. 18.)
