Building History

Twenty women originally established the Women's Club of Redondo Beach, CA, on 11/06/1908. According to this group's website: "An agenda was adopted to support local charities, provide social services through volunteerism, promote cultural and civic advancement as well as hosting social events. The club was accepted into the General Federation of Women's Clubs in 1910, [and] incorporated November 7, 1915 under the state laws of California, The California Federation of Women's Clubs." Construction on this small, shingled clubhouse began on 05/06/1922, with completion occurring by 10/1922.
