Overview

In 1887, George Kelly owned the Seattle Boiler Works that operated at the foot of Mill Street (Yesler Way). (See R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1887, p. 329.)

A later, unrelated company called the "Seattle Boiler Works, Incorporated," manufactured boilers in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood during the period 1911-1955.

Building History

This early boiler manufacturing facility operated nearby to the site of Henry Yesler's early Seattle sawmill.
