The Knights of Pythias Hall in Alameda, CA, was completed on Sunday, 02/28/1909, and had its lodge meeting on 03/02/1909. The San Francisco Callreported in its issue of 03/01/1909: "Knights of Pythias hall in Oak street, opposite the city hall, was completed yesterday and tomorrow night the first meeting will be held in the new building. This is the first building in Alameda that will be devoted exclusively to lodge purposes." (See "New Playhouse for Alameda" San Francisco Call, 03/01/1909, p. 4.)
