A short notice appeared in the Seattle Daily Times's real estate page that mentioned architect F.A. Sexton and the Hancock Apartment Building: "F.A. Sexton awarded the contract for the Hancock flats on Seventh Avenue, between Union and University Streets, to William Ovington. The plumbing [contract] has not been let."
