In the early 1960s, the Royal Inn of Needles was located at the intersection of Q Street and Arch Street.

Building History

This roadside motel in the desert town of Needles, CA, began operation as the "Royal Inn of Needles." It functioned under this name in the 1960s.

By 2008, at least, the motel had been renamed the "Desert Mirage Inn and Suites."

Building Notes

In the 1960s, the Royal Inn of Needles advertised that each of its rooms had a color television, and that guests could enjoy a heated swimming pool, therapy pool, saunas on the property.
