Douglas Company to serve his nearby aircraft factory in Santa Monica, the Aero is a small theatre seating 580 spectators; Robert Redford and a venture of his called Sundance Cinemas was once going to purchase the Aero, but this deal fell through; American Cinematheque bought the theater in 2003;
