Building History
A low-budget design by architect Clarence Smale (c. 1886-1966), the Colorado Theatre opened on 01/07/1949. It operated as a movie theatre into the 2000s, at the end managed by the Laemmle Theatres chain. The exterior and interior was spartan, the antithesis of another Smale design of the period, the extravagant Loyola Theatre (1946) operated by the Fox West Coast circuit.
By at least 2008, it had become the Pasadena Christian Center.
