Overview
The Sailors' Union of the Pacific, an seamen's union founded in 1885, erected this nautical, Streamline Moderne office building to house its activities in 1950. An assembly hall, the Maritime Hall, occupied a portion of the building, where union meetings could be held. For a brief time between 1995 and 2001, notable rock concerts were staged in Maritime Hall.
