Overview

In 1897, the Catholic Sacred Heart Church occupied the southwest corner of Bernard Street and 5th Avenue. The Reverend Barnabas Held served as the parish priest. He was assisted by Rev. John Paust. (See R.L. Polk and Company's Spokane City Directory, 1897, p. 555.)
