The Los Angeles Times wrote of this house in 1905: “Architect Frank M. Tyler has prepared plans of a two-story, eight-room frame residence for Tyler & Co., to be built on Third avenue near Adams street. The dwelling will have a heavy timbered exterior, brick and cement porch, plate glass windows, hardwood floors, brick mantels and Oregon pine trim.” (See “Activity Among Architects,” Los Angeles Times, 07/09/1905, p.
