Overview
This commercial strip mall located on the northeast corner of West Valley Boulevard and New Avenue contained spaces for seven businesses. At the time of its destruction by fire in 2018, the building catered to businesses operated by local Chinese-American owners.
Building Notes
The false-front vernacular building consisted of one-level stores all joined by a common attic.
Demolition
The Valley and New Center contained a group of storefronts mostly providing space to restaurants. At the time of its fire on 05/16/2021, the following restaurants occupied space in the strip mall: MPV BBQ Seafood offering Cantonese cuisine, Ludingji, serving Yunnan beef rice noodles, Thousands Tasty, a Cantonese banquet-style restaurant, and Yung Ho, providing Taiwanese breakfasts.
