The Los Angeles Times published a brief notice of branch bank's opening on 07/05/1930: “With an all-day reception, the Citizens’ National Trust and Savings Bank yesterday formally opened a branch at West Adams Boulevard and Cloverdale avenue, in quarters erected by the bank. This branch is the thirty-fourth banking office of the Citizens, according to President Herbert D. Ivey. G.C. Grant, who has been a member of the head office staff for the past six years, has been appointed manager. Grant was formerly with the Federal Reserve Bank here, and prior to coming to Los Angeles had been with the Royal Bank of Canada at Windsor, Ont., and the First National Bank of Detroit.” (See “Branch Bank Holds Reception,” Los Angeles Times, 07/06/1930, part II, p. 6.)
