In a weekly list of building contracts in San Francisco, the San Francisco Call newspaper noted: “Louis and Charlotte Adelstein (owners) with Joseph A. Bush (contractor), architect William Lowe—All work for a two-story frame building on lot on SE line of First avenue 150:9 NE of Carl Street, E 134:5, N 25, W 131:10, SW 25: 1 ½: $3200.” (See “Builders’ Contracts,” San Francisco Call, 05/27/1905, p. 14.)
