The San Francsico Call published a brief notice on this building owned by Charles Blatz: “Charles Blatz (owner) with W.J.J. Weeks [sic] (contractor), architect August Nordin—Plumbing for a three-story frame building on N line of Eighteenth street, 61 W of Clara avenue, W 75 by N 110; $1800." Another note in the same newspaper issue said: "Same owner with F. Keisel (contractor), architect same--Painting, graining, varnishing and lincrusta work for same on same: $1350." As noted in the Crocker-Langley San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1905, (p. 1904), William J.J. Weekes worked as a plumber at 1528 Stockton Street in San Francisco in 1905.
