Building History

The Los Angeles architectural firm of Walker and Eisen designed the Empire Theatre for Hite and Lineberger.

Alteration

Engineers H.C. Whittlesey and C.L.A. Bockenmoble supervised the renovation of the theatre at 34 American Avenue (later renamed Long Beach Boulevard) in 1934. These alterations were done for Maude Goff, and cost approximately $4,000 according to the Southwest Builder and Contractorof 04/14/1933 (p. 48, col. 2).

Demolition

The Long Beach Theatre was removed for a parking lot on 11/03/1952.
