Overview

In 1912, the Savings Bank of San Bernardino operated on the northwest corner of 3rd and E Streets. At this time, all of San Bernardino's five banks (listed in the city directory) did business on 3rd Street. Three of them operated at the intersection of 3rd and E, including the Savings Bank of San Bernardino (northwest corner) San Bernardino Savings Bank (southeast corner) and San Bernardino County Savings Bank (also on the southeast corner).
