Overview

In 1912, the San Bernardino County Savings Bank operated on the southeast corner of 3rd and E Streets. At this time, all of San Bernardino's five banks (listed in the city directory) did business on 3rd Street. Three of them operated at the intersection of 3rd and E, including the San Bernardino County Savings Bank (southeast corner), San Bernardino Savings Bank (also on the southeast corner) and the Savings Bank of San Bernardino (northwest corner).
