Overview
Originally called the "Mortimer Apartments," this brick-faced, three-floor building advertised two and three-bedroom units in 1913, with rents ranging from $14 to $25. (See “Mortimer Apartments classified ad,” Seattle Daily Times, 07/01/1913, p. 18.) For the time in Seattle, these were modest rents. The building later became known as the "Spruce Park Apartments."
