The architect Leland Bryant (1890-1954), well-known for creating well-crafted revivalistic apartment buildings in Los Angeles during the mid-1920s until the early-1930s, designed the Colonial House in West Hollywood, CA.

Various high-profile Hollywood celebrities have resided at the Colonial House over the years, including Bette Davis (1908-1989), Jamie Lee Curtis (born 11/22/1958), Julia Roberts (born 10/28/1967 in Smyrna, GA), and Katy Perry (born 10/25/1984 in Santa Barbara, CA).
