Alteration

Smilie Brothers Construction Company worked on the alteration of the Starr Flour Company's Crockett Mill into a refinery for the California and Hawaiian Suger Company in 1897-1898. An construction site accident involving a heavy support timber killed one of the partners of Smilie Brother, Robert Smilie, on 12/11/1897.
