Overview

In 1888, the Seattle Times newspaper, edited by G.G. Lyon and managed by T.H. Dempsey, operated on the northwest corner of Front (1st Avenue) and Madison Street. (See Seattle, Washington, City Directory, 1888, p. 199.) Alden Blethen would start another Seattle Times in 1891.
