Overview

The Fox Island Brick Manufacturing Company was one of two brick-making enterprises located on Fox Island taking advantage of its geologically rich deposits of gravel, clay and sand. Founded in 1884, it continued in operation under various owners until the mid-1920s. One of the brick factories was located on the southeast shore of Fox Island, while the Fox Island Brick Manufacturing Company maintained a facility on the island's northwest corner.
