The Stanford Hospital's location in 1917 was on the southeast corner of Clay and Webster Streets.

Overview

Stanford University received the Cooper Medical College in 1908, transforming the hospital into a medical research institution. It opened a purpose-built hospital in 1917, and gradually added on to this facility until medical facilities were consolidated on the Stanford Campus in 1959.

Demolition

The Stanford University Hospital was razed. The California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) was erected on its site.
