Designed by Johnston Architects in association with James Cutler Architects, the Maple Valley Branch #2 of the King County Library System (KCLS) opened on 12/22/2000.
Building Notes
The KCLS Maple Valley Branch #2 won a number of awards during the early 2000s including: American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Honor Award, 2000; AIA, Seattle Chapter, Gold Award, 2001; Wood Design Award, 2001; National Arbor Day Foundation, Award of Excellence Building with Trees Awards, 2003.
