Building History
The Los Angeles Athletic Club solicited plans from at least two architects in 1908 for a new club, Alfred Faist Rosenheim and Harrison Albright. Of Rosenheim's project, the American Architect and Building News reported: "Alfred F. Rosenheim, H.W. Hellman Building, is said to have prepared plans for the building to be erected at 7th and Olive streets for the Los Angeles Athletic Club at a cost of about $500,000."
