Overview

An short notice in the Los Angeles Times in 1906 stated: "The Masons of Whittier have let the contract for a handsome temple to be erected on Greenleaf avenue adjoining the Whittier Bank. It will contain an auditorium and several balconies, and will be a three-story structure." (See "South of the Tehachepi," Los Angeles Times, 04/17/1906, p. I3.)
