Building History

This multi-story apartment building was one of many that were built in the University District during the 2012-2019 period. It was owned by ACC OP (Core) LLC, otherwise known as American Campus Communities (ACC) based in Austin, TX. ACC was co-founded by William "Bill" Bayless in 1993. Bayless bought out his two partners, Wayne Senecal and Joseph Domberger, in 1997. The company made its initial purchase offering of stock in 2004. (See American Campus Communities.com, "Executive Team: Bill Bayless," accessed 04/26/2019.)

Building Notes

The Hub on Campus Seattle development replaced a row of one-story, retail stores and a two-floor residence that stood on the northeast corner of University Way NE and NE 50th Avenue, (5000 University Way NE), that once was occupied by a notable Trinidadian restaurant, Pam's Kitchen.

The building had an assessed valuation of $48,491,000 in 2019, the land amounting to $6,980,400 of the value.
