The Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer reported in its issue of 11/11/1916: "Archts. Jeffery & Schaefer, 1201 Van Nuys Bldg., are preparing plans for remodeling the Auditorium theater at San Bernardino. An addition providing for 250 additional seats will be constructed, new stage equipment, heating, plumbing, wiring." (See "Remodel Theater," Southwest Contractor and Manufacturer, 11/11/1916, p. 18.)
