Overview

The banker William S. Ladd commissioned the construction of this grand residence that stood on 6th Street between Jefferson and Columbia Streets in 1873. Ladd worked in the banking business with C.E. Tilton.

William S. Ladd served as Portland's Mayor in 1854.
