Buidling History

An article in the San Bernardino Sun of 06/07/1907 indicated that the Lewis General Store was located "...in the adobe building near the southwest corner of Fourth and C streets" in about 1863. (See "Old Friends Testify in Ruffen Case," San Bernardino Sun, vol. 27, no. 104, 06/07/1907, pp. 1, 3.) This location roughly corresponded to 301-325 West 4th Street in 2019.

Demolition

This adobe was razed.
