Overview

This Episcopalian school for boys was in operation at 1534 Mission Street in San Francisco, CA, in 1886. At this time, The Reverend E.B. Spalding served as its principal. In 1885, Spalding had been the Rector of Saint John's Episcopal Church in San Francisco. (See "Weddings," Daily Alta California, vol. 28, no. 12804, 05/04/1885, p. 7.) The school advertised that it "Prepares for Business, College and University; Large Grounds and Handsome Buildings; Gives advantages of Home; Strict Discipline." (see Trinity School ad, Langley's San Francisco, California, City Directory, 1886, p. 36.)

Building History

By 1897, the Trinity School was located at 3000 Washington Street in San Francisco, with E.B. Spalding still in charge. (See Report of the Commissioner of Education for Year 1897-98, vol. II, [Washington, DC: Government Printing Office, 1899], p. 2258.)
