In 1861, at least two Masonic groups held their meetings in the hall of the Reese's Building, the Loge La Parfaite Union #177 (Friday evening) and the Occidental Lodge #22 (monday evening). (See The San Francisco directory for the year commencing September, 1861, p. 478,)
