Building History

In 1918, Agatha Hefty (1860-1922), widow of the architect Henry Hefty, Sr., (1858-1915), managed the Clayton Hotel. (See Polk's Portland, Oregon, City Directory, 1918, p. 290.)

Demolition

The Hotel Clayton has been razed. In 2018, the Louisa Apartments occupied this site.
