Building Notes
In about 1940, the Oceanview Hotel in Long Beach, WA, was a two-floor, wood-frame, mixed-use building that had hotel rooms on its upper story. The builidng had wooden drop siding and a crenellated parapet with a crest in the center of the main facade on Washington Highway 103. The front fenestration consisted of fixed plate-glass windows with a clerestory on the first floor. The plate-glass windows were sheltered by a long, flat porch roof. Above, a pair of double-hung windows stood on either side of a central triplet of double-hung windows, for a total of seven. Two retail businesses operated on the first floor of the Oceanview Hotel, the Long Beach Pharmacy and Red and White Store.
